Our Stallions

The stallions to be shown here are selected for their conformation and good nature. The foals they sire are well-known for their abilities, soundness, and just all-out great attitude.

	Cheyennes Gold Bar (Shy) First of all, I need to tell you that Shy is my dream horse. When I was a little girl I would always see those calendars that had the picture of the beautiful Palomino on it, and I wanted THAT horse! As far as I’m concerned I’ve finally got him. Shy is my registered Palomino Stallion. He is 16.2 hh and weighs approximately 1300 lbs. He has a well rounded, muscular build with a good, medium bone. This is all enhanced by his kind, gentle and obliging personality with beautiful coloring to boot.
	Tru Class (Classy) I am very pleased to introduce Classy as our newest addition to Deerhorn Equine Ranch. It is with great excitment and little patience that we are awaiting the arrival of his first foals in May 09. Classy is 15.3-16hh weighing 1400 lbs. He is a very solid/well-built stallion with good solid hooves and a nice medium bone. Personality plus with a calm nature. He handles very nicely and is most respectful to both people and his mares.
	Sports Coupe (Sporty) I am very pleased to be able to introduce you to Sports Coupe, affectionately known as Sporty. He was added to our breeding program in May 2006. He will be 11 years old on May 4th 2007. He is a registered Paint overo, now white in color. Standing at 15.2 hh, weighing appox 1300 lbs with good medium bone. I feel that he and my mares will compliment each other very nicely. Sporty has a outstandingly kind and affectionate nature, constantly being shown in his welcoming nickers.
	Doc Buster SR (Buster) Doc.Buster Sr. - Fondly known as Buster. Registered Quarter Horse Stallion Grullo in color 15.2 hh 1200 lbs I was fortunate to be able to use Buster for the 2007 breeding season only. Buster has a very kind nature towards people and his mares. Always a pleasure to handle.
	Pat A grade Quarter Horse Stallion. Pat is Bay in color, is 15.2 hh and weighs approximately 1300 lbs. Pat is the sire to many of our mares in the herd. We are always guaranteed that no matter what type of mare we breed Pat to, we are sure to get a foal that has good conformation, good nature and an abundance of common sense. They are all very people-oriented horses.
	Black Sonshine (Sonny) Registered Tobiano Paint Stallion. He is 14.2 hh and weighs approximately 1050 lbs. Sonny is a very muscular, well rounded and solid-bodied stallion with good conformation. What Sonny lacks in height, he more than makes up for in determination and kindness. He is extremely good-natured, enjoys being around people and handles very well. PLEASE NOTE: 2009 will be the last year that foals will be available by this stallion. Don't miss out!
	Mr. Sixteen - REFERENCE SIRE Registered Tobiano Paint Stallion. He stands approximately 15.1 hh and weighs around 1100 lbs. This stallion was used for the breeding season of 2005. Mr. Sixteen is very well built and is pictured here at 22 years of age. He has a very kind and patient nature towards his mares as well as people. He is a very well- mannered, attentive horse to deal with.
	Radar A beautiful dapple-grey Thoroughbred/Percheron Stallion. He stands 17 hh and weighs around 1450 lbs. Radar is very good to his mares but can have an intimidating presence toward people. Things seem to work out best with Radar if he is handled on a regular basis. He has the tendency to try and avoid you otherwise. Radar has also sired a few of the mares now in the herd.
	Doc - REFERENCE SIRE Doc is a grade Quarter Horse. Appox 15.2 hh, weighing 1200-1250 lbs. A nice medium build with good solid bone. He is an extremely good-natured, well-mannered guy. The type of horse that knows what you want him to do even before you do it. He gets great pleasure in being as close as possible and spending as much time as possible with his human friends. As do all of his foals.
